What to put in the first email

A few lines is enough: what the plant or machine is, what's wrong with it or what you want it to do, and any timeframe you're working to. Photos of the panel or the nameplate help more than you'd think.

I'll come back with questions, and then a scoped quote in writing — so you know what the job covers and what it costs before anything starts.
